Quota in Action
Do you wonder what we do with the money we raise through events like our annual Duck Walk or our Barnes & Noble Book Fair. Well, wonder no more because here is just one example of how our funds do great work for our community.
We donated purchased ten pilot caps for deaf babies through the Northview Public Schools Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The caps are specially made to be worn by young children in order to keep their cochlear implants or hearing aids in place.
We received the following picture of one of the recipients wearing his pilot cap along with a thank you note from one of the dedicated teachers in this wonderful program.
Quota enjoys our relationship with Northview and we applaud the great work they are doing with young people in their program.

Barnes & Noble Book Fair – What a success!
Thanks to everyone who participated in our book fair on Saturday! Whether you were a volunteer, a partner or a buyer, we appreciate your help! We are still awaiting final numbers but the in-store sales that day has given us a profit of almost $900 for use in our service projects! Here are some photos from this exciting day.

Barnes & Noble Book Fair – tomorrow!
We just confirmed that Paws with a Cause service dogs will be visiting during our book fair tomorrow at Barnes & Noble at Woodland Mall! Molly & her puppy-in-training and Colleen with her “hearing” dog, Poppy, will arrive around noon time. Be sure to stop in and say hi!
Barnes & Noble Book Fair – This Saturday!
The schedule of events for the book fair has been slightly revised but the number of activities we have planned is as high as ever. Come out and join us the fun as we offer children’s activities, cooking demos, book signings and crafts and the Barnes & Noble at Woodland Mall. But if you can’t join us in person, you can still support Quota by making purchases on November 8 at your local B&N store or online from November 8-13. Just use the Quota book fair number when you check out and B&N will donate a portion of your purchase back to Quota for our service projects!
Pediatric hearing loss and cochlear implants
Please join us on Thursday evening, November 20,at Sunnybrook Country Club for our monthly membership meeting. Networking with a cash bar begins at 5:30 and our meeting with dinner begins at 6:00. Our presenter that evening will be Kirsten Kramer. She is an audiologist from Spectrum Health and Kirsten will share with us what she does at Spectrum, how they work with pediatric patients and update us on what is currently happening in the field of cochlear implants. Guests are welcome!
