The first of the month keeps sneaking up on me. Here it is already the 2nd of December and I’m just getting around to writing a message. I think it’s actually easier for me to write when we don’t have a lot going on. Quota GR has been very busy in recent weeks.
We had our first successful Holiday Shopping Extravaganza! A big thank you to Peggy and her husband, Joe, for letting us use their home. Overall we estimate that there were 75 shoppers, including Quotarians. At last count we had exceeded our goal of $500 and had already brought in $600. We are still waiting to hear back from a couple of the vendors. Thank you to everyone who helped made the day a success!!
We handed our earplugs in the Santa Parade. The Cool Cats were on hand and without their help, we wouldn’t have passed out many earplugs.
We have our holiday party this evening, I hope to see you there! We have our lovely blanket of snow as usual.
We have our DHHS lunch on Tuesday, the 7th. Please check the calendar of events (or click here) for more details.
Then in 2011 we have our Barnes and Noble Book Fair. I will put more information in my January message, or read the November minutes (posted here) to share information with your family and friends at Christmas. You should have received an email with the information attached, if you did not, please contact Kim.
I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
