Getting to Know… Robin

Robin has been a member of Quota for 23 years!! Her favorite snack is 94% Fat Free Popcorn (followed closely by Cheetos). She enjoys either of these snacks while watching her favorite movie, “Sleepless in Seattle”.

Robin was asked if she has ever stood up for something she thought was right? She said, yes with work decisions particularly.

Things Robin prefers to do alone include scrapbooking.

Robin was asked which would be better? Receiving an unexpected apology or an unexpected discount on a purchase? Robin chose an unexpected apology.

If Robin could be any cartoon character she would be Super Woman!

Robin’s favorite cd is anything by Carrie Underwood.

Thank you Robin, for sharing a little bit about yourself!!

2. Meet Quota’s Class of 2010-2011 District Governors On-line

Quota’s District Governors are major players on Quota International ‘s leadership team. They not only support and assist clubs within their districts, providing leadership assistance and support to club presidents, but they also connect clubs to Quota International through the international messages and information they share at club visits, district meetings, and events and through their communications and publications. We are grateful to them for their service to Quota. To view photos and names of these dedicated volunteers, go to www.quota.org and click “About Quota,” then “District Governors,” http://www.quota.org/gtku/aq.governors.no.bio.htm.

Quota’s Deputy Executive Director Nancy Fitzpatrick moderated a United Nations panel on the UN Millennium Development Goals last week and used the opportunity to promote Quota International and our Club-to-Club World Service program. The attendees were staff members of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) based in Washington , DC , and the room was filled! Nancy was invited due to her role as a member of the UNA-USA Council of Organizations Executive Committee. She distributed information about our Club-to-Club World Service projects which was great publicity for our work in developing countries. For information about this UN panel and to download an audio recording of the session, go to the Council of Organizations Web site, www.unausa.org/council, and click the audio link under the “Featured Speakers” section.
